Handmade textile art
Technique: Sorbello Stitch (freehand embroidery)
Materials: cotton thread, sand-colored fabric (80% cotton, 20% recycled polyester)
Size: approx. 122×94 cm (embroidery: approx. 75×58 cm)

A one-of-a-kind art piece. It was part of my bachelor thesis. I intended to show the back side, which usually stays hidden. But since there are no rules, you can display it however you like. I also love that everyone sees something different in its mysterious shape. And of course, there are many more layers to my work.
Care instructions: There is some sort of hemstitch at the top and bottom edges. You can slide a rod through it for hanging.
It’s a delicate piece, don’t do something crazy with it. I don’t recommend washing it unless it’s absolutely necessary. In such a case, choose the most gentle way.
Steaming or ironing shouldn’t be a problem as long as you protect/cover the embroidered part.
Please note: Imperfections are normal, since this is a handcrafted textile artwork.
